Oct 4-5, 2008
Walk the Yellow Brick Road and meet your favorite Oz characters. Dorothy, Tin Man, Lion, Scarecrow, Witches, the Wizard, Munchkins…They're all there. Visit Auntie Em's farm and hide from the tornado in the basement. Lots of fun. Food, music, hay rides, and memorabilia.
Admission to Oz and parking is $15.00 (children 2 and under are free) at the gate on October 4 & 5. They may be purchased by contacting the Beech Mountain Chamber of Commerce after July 4th, no credit cards - cash or check only. Send a self addressed envelope with time and date to the Chamber office and we will mail you tickets prior to September 24.
The weather at Oz can
be rather blustery after a tornado so bring a jacket, umbrella, sweatshirt
just in case.
Tour times are Saturday from 10 to 12, 12 to 2,
and 2 to 4. Sunday from 10:30 to 3. (Saturday is broken down
into 3 sessions to manage the crowd. It does not mean that you can
only spend 2 hours in Oz but rather you can get a bus or hay wagon to Oz
only during the specified hours. Both days events are exactly the
same.) We are open and planning the event, rain or shine.
Tickets
can be purchased the day of the event or you may stop by the Chamber prior
to Saturday to get your tickets.
Wheelchairs and stollers are not recommended.
