Welcome to Beech Mountain

Our town has been called “The Snow Capital of the Southeast,” and for good reason—the 2010 and 2011 winter snowfalls exceeded 125 inches, and the average snowfall is over 7 feet!

Beech Mountain Resort is now open for the Season! Check here for the snow report and hours - Ski Report.

Beech Mountain has the highest average snowfall in the area, combine that with the increased snow-making capacity at Beech Mountain Resort, and you have opportunities for skiing and snowboarding that most resorts can only dream of. Even our sledding is a cut above the usual, with snowmaking capabilities.

You’ll have plenty of time to ice skate, shop in our Alpine Village, and peer up at the slopes over espresso. And winter events, such as the NC Snowshoe Championship, provide lots of excitement as the pristine winter landscape puts you in a holiday mood.

The only thing better than an exhilarating ride down a snow-packed slope is not having to travel for it. Up on Beech Mountain, we’ve got inns, condos, and mountainside chalets—all close by the Southeast’s favorite slopes. Take advantage of our Stay-and-Ski weekday packages, which includes two nights lodging and one day on the slopes!
